About the position
We at Perido are now looking for an Operational Buyer to join our client’s team, a well-known international company in the automotive industry. The position is based in Gothenburg.

Your daily tasks
In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier performance and driving operational purchasing activities. This includes initiating, maintaining, and improving supplier relationships while ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure strong performance and continuous improvement
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and support profitability targets
• Contribute to the development and execution of sourcing and segment strategies within the Service Market area
• Establish and maintain supplier relationship management processes
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts with suppliers
• Coordinate supplier integration and collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Monitor market developments affecting material and service availability, lead times, and pricing
• Partner with stakeholders to identify sourcing requirements, develop the existing supplier base, and define service level expectations
• Drive supplier performance management and improvement activities
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and business objectives

Qualifications:

• Experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supplier management
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve challenging, though generally non-complex, business problems.
• Experience within aftermarket, service market, or industrial purchasing environments is highly valued

Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2027-03-31. Start asap.
