About the position

We at Perido are now looking for an On-Site Technical Translator for our client. The position is based in Gothenburg.

Your daily tasks:

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for on-site robot commissioning and PLC debugging work
• Facilitate daily technical communication between foreign engineers and local teams regarding equipment docking, fault analysis, commissioning schemes, and project progress coordination
• Accurately convey technical instructions, operational requirements, risk warnings, and optimization suggestions to ensure high project quality
• Follow the entire process of industrial robot installation, calibration, program debugging, trajectory optimization, precision testing, and trial operation
• Respond quickly to on-site emergency technical communication, ensuring zero major translation errors in professional content
• Help promote the resolution and rectification of on-site issues
• Coordinate daily/weekly work plans for on-site staff according to project schedules alongside customers and site managers

Qualifications:

• College degree or higher, preferably within Engineering
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in technical interpretation/translation or automation environments
• Familiarity with technical terminology for machinery and equipment, basic principles of industrial automation, and common knowledge of industrial robot commissioning
• Fluent communication skills in English (both spoken and written), with the ability to clearly express and apply professional knowledge of industrial automation

Contract type and hours

Full-time assignment until further notice. Preliminary start 2026-11-01/ASAP.
