About the position

Perido is looking for a Fixed Asset Register (FAR) Controller on behalf of our client, a pioneering industrial enterprise driving large-scale green energy and manufacturing initiatives. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that major project expenditures are correctly identified, classified, and recorded as assets in accordance with regulatory and accounting standards. You will act as the vital link between Project Controls, Finance, and Engineering. The position is based in either Stockholm or Boden, with the possibility of working remotely at ca 50%.

Your daily tasks

As a FAR Controller, you will treat the Fixed Asset Register as a controlled financial record, ensuring every material asset and associated cost is traceable and audit-ready. Your main tasks will include:

• Maintain and regularly reconcile the FAR against project cost records, commitments, invoices, and approved asset structures
• Collaborate closely with Engineering to identify, describe, and allocate equipment, systems, tag numbers, asset hierarchy, and commissioning status
• Track assets through procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover to reflect real-time physical status
• Identify operational assets and coordinate with Finance for timely capitalisation and commencement of depreciation
• Ensure proper cost allocation across equipment, installation, engineering, and directly attributable costs
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between the FAR, cost systems, procurement records, and engineering data
• Maintain a robust audit trail for asset values, classifications, adjustments, and capitalisation decisions
• Support periodic physical verification of assets with Engineering and Operations
• Produce regular FAR completeness and reconciliation reports, escalating any gaps that could compromise compliance

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent relevant background
• Proven experience in fixed asset control, capital expenditure (CapEx) accounting, or project controls within large-scale industrial/engineering projects
• Strong proficiency in financial ERP systems, project cost controls software, and Excel.
• Fluent in spoken and written English

 Meritorious:

• Experience working in complex industrial, energy, or manufacturing construction environments
• Deep familiarity with regulatory accounting policies and internal/external audit standards regarding fixed assets

 Contract type and hours

Full-time consulting assignment until 2027-01-31. Start 2026-10-13.
