 About the position
Perido is looking for an Operational/Prototype Buyer for our client, a large and well-known company in the automotive industry. The position is located in Gothenburg, where the work takes place on-site in the office.

Your daily tasks
As a Prototype Buyer you will have responsibility for procuring and purchasing test & prototype material for prototype and pre-series product builds. Operationally, you will manage the commercial interface towards the suppliers, and you will be responsible for committed cost and delivery targets. You will have daily interaction with project teams and designers to ensure the timely supply of prototype material to the projects.

Main responsibilities include:

• Sourcing of test material & prototype components from external suppliers

• Procurement of test material from internal production units

• Secure that prototype orders are fulfilled with respect to the confirmed delivery date by proactive follow-up

• Update new delivery confirmations and comments promptly and ensure that important stakeholders are informed

• Coordinate / book transports when needed

• Monitor delivery precision and set action plans for low performing suppliers

Your characteristics
You have great communication and networking skills. An important part of this role is to interact and collaborate with peers within the company and represent purchasing. To be successful in this position, you need to enjoy working with people. Preferably, you have a high interest in technology. We are looking for someone with the ability to drive, who dares to take the lead. Most of all, you are a true team player who contributes with good team spirit.

Qualifications:

• Relevant university degree or other higher education
• Basic technical knowledge, ability to understand drawings and engineering vocabulary
• Purchasing experience
• Good communication skills and good networking capability
• Business, financial & cost management mindset
• Fluent in English
• You are responsible, reliable and you like doing business
• Delivery & service oriented with a can-do attitude
• Pro-active and good ability in priority management
• Your are a true team player with belief that the best results are achieved together while having fun!

Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2028-08-01. Start 2026-09-01.
