About the position
We are looking for a Senior Engineer Vehicle Dynamics to join our client’s team. In this role, you will take the lead in vehicle dynamics activities for engineering programs, focusing on attribute improvements and cost optimization. You will be responsible for project management, tuning activities, and ensuring the highest level of vehicle dynamics performance. This position is located in Gothenburg.
Your daily tasks
- Lead vehicle dynamics activities for current engineering programs, including model year (MY) attribute improvements and cost-down opportunities.
- Oversee all project management aspects, including defining development plans, creating timing plans, managing budgets, and organizing tuning activities.
- Define, set, and cascade vehicle dynamics targets across different functions.
- Execute tuning and development activities to optimize vehicle dynamics attributes.
- Provide regular status updates on performance against set targets.
- Develop and maintain vehicle setup and tuning documentation.
- Write and distribute reports for all test and development work.
Your characteristics
To succeed in this role, you need a strong technical background in vehicle dynamics, with expertise in suspension and steering systems. You are analytical, structured, and highly skilled in both subjective and objective assessments of vehicle dynamics performance. Collaboration is key in this role—you should enjoy working in a global team environment and be open to sharing knowledge while embracing feedback. A proactive and adaptable mindset is essential, as you will navigate a fast-paced and evolving engineering landscape.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant STEM subject.
- At least 8 years of industry experience in vehicle dynamics.
- High technical competence in suspension and steering systems at both system and component level.
- Strong experience in subjective vehicle dynamics assessments and objective vehicle dynamics testing.
- Competent in reviewing and applying Kinematics & Compliance (K&C) results.
- Experience working across multiple automotive proving grounds.
- Knowledge of Vector tools is a plus.
Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2025-12-31. Start ASAP.
