About the position
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer Specialist for our client, a global company in the financial technology industry. You will be working from the office located in the center of Vilnius, Lithuania.

Your daily tasks
As a Senior Network Engineer Specialist in the Firewall Engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, documenting, and implementing firewall openings. Your role will involve communicating with both internal and external clients regarding firewall-related matters, troubleshooting and resolving complex incidents, and collaborating with various teams to manage requests, incidents, and upgrades.

Additionally, you will participate in CAB meetings to represent firewall tickets and perform firewall OS upgrades, ensuring all pre- and post-checks are completed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, global financial technology environment, contributing to secure and efficient market infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of OSI Layers and network security technologies
• Expertise in firewall products, especially Palo Alto (required), as well as Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and their respective management platforms
• Experience with IT Operation tools such as ITSM and Jira
• Understanding of ITIL, Change, Incident, and Problem Management processes
• Adherence to defined processes for completing firewall requests within SLAs
• Solid understanding of VPN concepts (Site-to-Site IPSec VPN, SSL Remote VPN)
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English

Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2025-12-31. Start as soon as possible.
